You Are Gods

By: Mary Ellen Flora

What does this mean? It means exactly what it says; that each of us is a spark of the Divine. Don’t believe me, but you might believe the Judeo-Christian Bible. In the Old Testament, it says in Psalm 82:6: “I have said, you are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High.”

Of course, humans forgot that wonderful news in their physical focus and struggle. Humans buried themselves in their bodies and worldly creations and forgot they are gods. Fortunately, many amazing teachers came to Earth to remind us of our Divine spark. In the New Testament John 10:34: Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, I said, You are gods?”

Still most humans remained asleep to their spiritual nature and continued to pour their vitality into the physical world. At this point in human development, humans are still being given the opportunity to awaken to our spiritual self but are continuing to focus on the physical world and ignore our Divine nature. Will you choose to awaken? How will you manifest your awareness of your spark of the Divine? Are you so involved in your physical world that you will get overwhelmed with your ego and continue to invest your power and talents into strictly worldly endeavors? Remember, each of us is a part of the Divine and have capabilities and power beyond our physical imagining. We are each a spark of the Divine, which is an amazing realization. This needs to be acknowledged in everything we create since we are each a spark of God or the Cosmic Consciousness. We need to function as God’s children and create accordingly.

The awakening to the fact that you are a spark of the Divine is a call to personal responsibility. As a child of God, you are responsible for your creations. You have abilities and power beyond the capability of your intellect to comprehend. This is the reason meditation is essential to human awakening. Meditation allows you to awaken to yourself, the spirit, and learn how to manifest your spark into your body and the physical world.

By turning within to yourself, you awaken to your spiritual nature and abilities. You discover that you are spirit and not your body. Through meditation, you awaken your Divine spark and to your ability to consciously create your life as spirit.

What are you here to learn? What will you use your Divinity to create?
