Fear Not

Everyone is here to awaken to the reality of spirit and to the direct connection we each have with All Things.

During this challenging time of upheaval, we need our spiritual communication more than ever. We need the love, compassion and validation to help us rise above the body’s fear. We need our spiritual perspective from a neutral, unemotional view to see the personal and planetary changes caused by our spiritual awakening.

Unfortunately, when awakening, people are often afraid of this process. The fear comes from forgetting our spiritual nature while spiritually asleep and operating from physical principles. The doubt we create while spiritually asleep makes us fear ourselves as spirit and what we the spirit want us to do, as something powerful and unfamiliar. We fear what we do not understand and control. We fear because we doubt our own divine nature and our relationship with the Divine. We fear what we are here to accomplish. Remember we are asked to do only what we are capable of doing.

We have been told to let go of fear throughout many spiritual books including the Judeo-Christian Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We have been directly instructed to “fear not”. Angels have told us not to fear. Teachers also told us not to fear. We are still being told “fear not” by spiritual messengers.

There are so many messages to “fear not” that we need to pay attention to the importance and meaning of these words. When we fear we are not in touch with ourselves as spirit. By telling us not to fear, messengers are telling us to have faith. When we fear, we deny love. By being afraid we separate ourselves from spirit. We have been told we the spirit know our needs and will meet them, yet we are afraid about terrorists, finances, work and other survival issues. We do not turn to spirit for direction, thus we are afraid and lost. We make mistakes and create the very things we fear because we do not relate to spiritual reality.

Fear is one of the most debilitating energies in the human experience when used incorrectly. When you are in fear, you are frozen. Fear robs you of amusement and joy and your communication with yourself, the spirit. Fear causes you to act in strange ways. It creates hate. If you fear someone or something long enough, you will hate it. Fear creates a wall between you, the spirit, and All Things including your body.

Fear can be a beneficial survival instrument if used correctly. Fear lets you know when something is dangerous or life threatening. When fear is used properly, it helps to keep the body alive and safe; it is simply a warning system. Fear used for any other reason becomes a danger in itself because it separates you from your spiritual self and keeps you out of touch with your spiritual information. If your fear does not relate to the present moment, you can let it go and be free to create with certainty.

Over and over, great teachers tell us to let go of fear and have faith. They say that faith heals us and fear destroys our faith. With faith, we can create anything. With fear, we are not able to create at all. When fear sends its warning signal, we must have faith that we can take care of the situation and move forward. If the fear is not a present time warning, we need to clear it because it acts like a barrier to our spiritual creativity.

I clipped a saying from the newspaper a few years ago that I still remember. It said: “Fear knocked on the door, faith answered, and no one was there.” That simple statement says it all. When we have faith in our spiritual selves, we are not afraid. When we live in fear, we have lost our spiritual perspective and connection with the Divine. When we are afraid, we are operating on our physical concepts, past experiences and lies and not on our spiritual beliefs.

We keep getting the message to fear not, and to have faith and all things are possible. We are reminded that we are safe when we are spiritually aware. During these times of change and upheaval while the Earth is experiencing floods, earthquakes, famine, war, hurricanes, volcanoes, violence, social disturbance and so many major changes, we need to master our fear and remember that we are spirit and a part of the Divine. We need to remember that we are immortal spirit and only the body will die.

We have to take the first step and reach through our fear to connect with ourselves as spirit. When we release the doubt and have faith, the fear dies and we come to life.
