CDM was founded in Washington State in 1976. This is a description of the founder’s experiences, written in 1986.

Ten years ago, Doc and I were two starry-eyed souls beginning CDM and the WA Psychic Institute. We believed so much in our mission that we both gave up all that we were then involved with and committed ourselves totally to this creation. Teaching, reading, administration, janitorial duties, and all things necessary to creating an organization, we did willingly and with enthusiasm.

Like Adam and Eve, we were creative and, of course, created many “snakes” in our garden along with the harvest. We were also naive enough to believe all others shared our enthusiasm and commitment. In our excitement, we forgot the pull of the physical reality.

As all beings in this reality, we created our own, and what a learning experience we created. We learned about owning our space by losing it and regaining it. We learned about love by experiencing the hate others feel for those teaching spiritual reality. We learned about power by giving it away and learning others did not know how to use it. We made many mistakes, and we learned a lot.

We grew and flourished while we were both focusing our energy in one place. Then we made a major mistake and expanded and expanded. Everyone who couldn’t do their job we promoted, and we expanded. What a creation for learning. Apparently, God looks after children and fools; fortunately, we appeared to qualify for both categories.

Then we, for a while, were unable to give as much. Doc was physically ill, my attention was divided, and our vision of this game became muddied by other influences. We pulled back to regroup our energies and took time to evaluate our creation. We struggled on; time passed, we persevered and eventually emerged in the fast lane once again. With determination, we moved to a new beginning.

After starting this game ten years ago, we begin again. Wiser? I doubt it. We are definitely more amused, more relaxed, and have deeper rooted faith than ten years ago. No longer naive, still starry-eyed and enthusiastic, Doc and I are more committed and certain than the beginners of ten years ago.

If you are reading this, you may be beginning anew your commitment to your spiritual awareness and growth. CDM is a place where you can find community, healing and information. We have provided these things for ten years and will continue to do so.

CDM is for beginners and for those who wish to follow their spiritual path by giving to others on a simple level. Many pass through to learn the information, receive a healing or to receive spiritual validation. More and more individuals and families are becoming able to stay within this game to create the community aspect which will support and nourish the teaching and healing aspects.

Like Doc and me, you may have wished for a spiritual community. If you have, remember you create your own reality and you too can be a creator in and of this CDM game. Join us in this exciting creation. Everyone’s givingness is needed for this endeavor to succeed
