Let Go
What do you need to let go of to be free? You may be aware of many things in your life you wish to release but are you looking within yourself or are you looking outside? You cannot change what is outside of you without changing what is within you first. Maybe you want to let go of fear. You must cleanse or let go of the fear within you first, or you will increase the fear in the world by sharing your personal fear rather than diminishing it. By letting fear go from your body, you also let it go from the world.
With the inner focus in mind, see what you need to release from your physical system. Most people need to let go of their past. Even if you were badly abused in any way, such as emotionally or physically, you must release the emotions you have stored about your past experiences. If you hold onto your emotions about your past, you continue to create the same experiences and energy.
Forgiving means letting go, it does not mean condoning or agreeing. Until you forgive or let go, you are not free to create what you want in the present. Your emotions about the past will hold you in it and you will not be able to create what you desire in the present. Forgiveness requires courage and increases strength within you. You free yourself of many disturbing emotions such as fear, hate and intense anger. All humans have these emotions, and we can all diminish them. There are many ways to release these low vibrations such as counseling, facing them, etc. and my favorite healing, by meditating.
Letting go is a process. Forgiving takes time, like all things in your body. When you face yourself and release disturbances every day, you heal. Do not expect letting go to be instant or perfect. You know you are healing when you feel a little better most every day. Sometimes you can let go by simply laughing.
